As a scientist, my focus is on understanding how our genetic code is regulated to transcribe and translate messages that keep us alive. I use a combination of genetics, biochemistry, and genomics to study fundamental mechanisms in gene expression. My scientific background inspires me as an artist. In my work, I strive to capture nature through paintings of landscapes, animals, and plants.
